Tour Hopen – What’s this site? Radio France Bleu

| Tour Refurbishing/Extension – Radio chronicle |

The refurbishing of the Hopen Tower (formerly known as Tour Adria) has entered a new phase: the remodelling of its entrance, heralding a new address and an opening onto La Défense district.

Something that Thomas Etcheberry (Radio France Bleu) couldn’t miss. In his column C’est quoi c’chantier? broadcast on Thursday 28 September, the journalist looked back at this impressive phase and the project’s ambitions, as presented by Jean Mas, Associate Architect of Ateliers 2/3/4/: Courbevoie (92): what’s this big tower under reconstruction, in the middle of La Défense?

Our ambition is to reinstall the Tower, inaugurated in 2002, into its era and its environment. It aims not only at meeting contemporary requirements but also at anticipating future ones.

To initiate a dialogue with the city through the creation of a new entrance at the corner of the Tower, whose prismatic shape echoes that of the building, and the intensification of office and restaurant spaces open to the public. A new relation will be re-established with the city and the Tower will be able to contribute to the urban character of the district by enhancing its attractiveness.
