Plant nursery marking – Olympic trees, sustainable project.

Olympic trees, sustainable project.

7 of 102.
7 is the number of exceptional subjects that Ateliers 2/3/4/ has marked in the Lappen nursery, 7 among 102 trees that will be planted on the operation of the future Aquatic Center in Saint-Denis.

Exceptional in their size and remarkable bearing, these Scots pines will punctuate the landscape of the Aquatic Center from 2024, initially as a facility of Paris 2024, and later as a real neighborhood facility.

Planned to approach 12m in height when planted in the winter of 2023, we have taken every precaution to carefully select a nursery of excellence to ensure the most suitable subjects.

Incredible subjects but familiar forest species, these pines ensure a relationship of scale in a site punctuated by large-scale sports facilities (Stade de France and the future Aquatic Center), while playing on the collective memory of these beautiful trees that we find in the forest.

These trees, forming a large-scale tree constellation, are not the conclusion of a sculptural gesture: they announce what the 95 other trees to come will build as a landscape: a forest and country ensemble that will envelop the aquatic complex, alternating meadows, copses and majestic trees.
