INDEPTH THOUGHT // THE SHAPE OF OUR BUILDINGS IS ALWAYS GENERATED BY AN INTERNAL MOMENTUM

Our objective and ambition are to always expand, stretch, give depth – to make the world bigger than it is but also to make it legible, intelligible, to give something to see and understand.

By thinking about the permeability that results from the combination of the two great archetypes of human settlements «  the courtyard and the pavilion », Ateliers 2/3/4/ seeks to develop « open interiority ». (The courtyard through its introversion connects, the expression of a community in search of harmony. The pavilion through the detachment it provides, displays independence and freedom).

 

Each building has a main space, both the center of the project and the location of the interaction with the nearby or distant context: the garden, street, square. Circulation is thought of as itineraries to the multiple perspectives that incite encounters.

 

The layouts and ambiences result from a desire for discretion, of a fair measure conducive to stimulate users to take possession, to invite them to get involved.

By these means, Ateliers 2/3/4/ provides the assignment with « added value ».
